Banam Port

Banam Port is a fishing port located in Banam-ri, Geojin-eup, Goseong-gun, Gangwon State. Banam-ri, where Banam Port is located, lies midway between Ganseong-eup and Geojin-eup and is easy to find because it is adjacent to the national road. If you travel a little from Ganseong toward Hwajinpo, you will see a standing sign for Banam Beach. The sandy beach is 12 km long. Located within a military area, it boasts clean, unpolluted water, and visitors can enjoy a more secluded atmosphere than at other beaches. Sea fishing is also very productive here, and many people visit because anchovy fishing is good in the morning and evening. The coastline curves in a rounded shape, and rocks are exposed at the end of the white-sand beach. The beach and sandy shore operate year-round, and they are mainly visited by people who prefer quiet places.
