Nango Kim Sat-gat Literature Museum

Opened in October 2003, the Nango Kim Sat-gat Literature Museum consists of Exhibition Room 1, which explores the story of Kim Byeong-yeon and the beginning and end of his wandering; Exhibition Room 2, which displays Kim Sat-gat’s outstanding poetic world, the spirit of his times, the literary quality of his works, and research materials on them; and a special exhibition room featuring installation art and video works that reinterpret and recreate Kim Sat-gat using Kim Sat-gat and his poetry as motifs. In addition, outdoors at the literature museum, outstanding poems selected through the Kim Sat-gat Cultural Festival are displayed on poetry monuments. The museum will continue to serve as a place to honor the spirit of Nango Kim Byeong-yeon, Kim Sat-gat, and to share the meaning and significance of his legacy.
