Hwacheon Educational Library

Hwacheon Educational Library opened as the Hwacheon-gun Public Library on December 22, 1990, and was renamed Hwacheon Educational Library in 2013. The library consists of a total of three floors. The first floor houses the General Materials Room and a lounge; the second floor has a cultural classroom, club room, program room, and stacks; and the third floor has a multipurpose auditorium. Different themed materials rooms and reading rooms are operated on each floor. The library offers a variety of cultural and lifelong learning programs. It continuously develops and provides many programs, including book concerts, meetings with authors, and various hands-on making activities, to enhance the cultural knowledge and promote the leisure activities of county residents. In connection with the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education Electronic Library and the National Electronic Library, users can search for a variety of e-books and academic papers.
