Hoengseong Cultural Center

Hoengseong Cultural Center was established to promote community development and the advancement of local culture, inherit the spirit of ancestors, foster a sense of affection for the hometown, and establish the traditional spirit of the people of Hoengseong. The basement houses a library and materials room, the first floor has a presentation hall, screening room, and ancillary facilities, and the second floor contains the administrative office, cultural classrooms, and a cultural lounge. A rooftop garden has also been created on the roof. With a presentation hall and screening room, the center hosts various cultural and artistic events, including screenings of newly released films, stage plays, and music festivals. The library and materials room collects, preserves, and displays a variety of materials related to Hoengseong, including its history, cultural assets, notable figures, and the origins of place names. The cultural classrooms offer courses in various fields, such as art, music, dance, and cooking, for the purpose of cultural and arts education. In addition to free film screenings on the last Wednesday of every month, the center hosts diverse cultural and artistic events every year, including plays, films, and music festivals.
