Why travelers stop here
Gangwon State, Pyeongchang-gun, Mitan-myeon, Sanneomi-gil 210
Yuksip Majigi is located at Sanneomi Ranch, which operates a car camping site and a black goat farm along with a trekking course. It was given this name because it covers a smaller area than Yukbaek Majigi, known as the Alps of Korea, which is a 25-minute drive from Sanneomi Ranch. To visit Yuksip Majigi, visitors must pay an admission fee at Sanneomi Lodge. Yuksip Majigi is about a 30-minute walk from Sanneomi Lodge. As you climb the forest path filled with phytoncides, you can see grazing black goats peacefully feeding on grass here and there. When you reach the summit of Yuksip Majigi, a huge pine tree on the sunny side welcomes you. The bench picturesquely placed beneath the tree is a beautiful spot for taking memorable photos. Sitting beneath the wide-open view, where layered mountain ridges stretch endlessly into the distance, makes all the worries of the world feel as light as a handful of dust. If a one-hour round-trip hike feels too short, camping overnight at Sanneomi Ranch is recommended. Enjoy the black goat tea available at Sanneomi Lodge, and experience the misty Yuksip Majigi the next morning for an impression different from the day before.
