Jaedong Recreation Area

Located approximately 15 km south of Samcheok, Jaedong Recreation Area is situated along the Ma-eupcheon Stream. With a cool pine forest and a clear stream flowing beside it, it is suitable for family camping and small group events. Freshwater fishing enthusiasts can catch sweetfish by day and catfish and eels at night, while the spacious open area is suitable for simple sports activities. The clear water of the Ma-eupcheon Stream and the large pine forest have made it a family-oriented retreat for swimming and camping. The facilities include one management office building, three restroom buildings, one shower building, and 10 bungalows.
