Gangneung Haesali Village is a rural village in Gangneung-si, Gangwon State, famous for Gyeongpodae, Ojukheon, and Jeongdongjin. Located about 2 km northwest of the township center, it is a typical rural village. The village has approximately 100,000 gaedureup trees (Kalopanax trees) and holds a gaedureup festival every spring. Visitors can also enjoy special experiences through Dano activities, including the Samcheonryang experience using three products produced abundantly in Haesali Village—gaedureup, pine mushrooms, and persimmons—and traditional Dano.
