Located in the DMZ Eco-Peace Park in Cheorwon, Yongyang Swamp is one of the Nine Scenic Spots of Cheorwon, where ecology is well preserved alongside war and peace. The suspension bridge used by soldiers guarding the DMZ after the war became worn out, and while its supports remain, the area remained untouched by human hands during 60 years of peace, leaving a wetland with beautiful natural scenery intact. Each season, migratory birds such as cormorants, cranes, and swans visit, and it serves as a sanctuary for countless animals.
