Art Blooms Even in Ruins

An art space blossomed from an abandoned mine. Pocheon Art Valley offers a unique impression each season. The pure white winter, light green spring, lush green summer, and autumn foliage create a beautiful contrast with the rocky cliffs and blue waters. Most areas near the DMZ have poor environments for art or culture. This travel course introduces Pocheon Art Valley as a cultural and artistic resource of the Pocheon region near the DMZ, including Paju and Yeoncheon, and combines nearby attractions such as Pyeonggang Botanical Garden and Meonguri Observatory (Hantangang River Geopark).
