Paju, Healthy and Delicious 'Jangdan Kong'

Jangdan Kong is a specialty product of the Imjin River. Along with the ginseng cultivated in the Jangdan region, it is a premium bean that was served on the king's royal table as one of the Jangdan Three Hundreds. It is a small village in the Civilian Control Line. Haemaru Village has restricted civilian access for over 50 years, making it a treasure trove of ecosystems where numerous animals and plants inhabit the dense forests. It offers both nature learning and security experience. Making tofu with the local specialty Jangdan Kong and observing the DMZ constellations are the most popular activities. A day is too short to explore the surrounding tourist attractions such as Dora Observatory, Pyeonghwa Nuri, and Heyri Art Village.
