Encounter the Ancient Traces of Goguryeo

Yeoncheon is a well-known area where a large number of artifacts from the Paleolithic Age have been discovered. In addition to Paleolithic sites, it is a historical site where you can encounter traces of ancient Goguryeo fortresses, such as Dangpo Fortress and Horogoru Fortress, which cannot be found in other regions. Yeoncheon offers a journey through a cross-section of Korean history, from the Paleolithic Age to Goguryeo fortresses, the tomb of King Gyeongsun, the last king of Silla, and Sunguijeon, a shrine built during the Joseon Dynasty for Goryeo kings and meritorious subjects.
