2025 Hangeulnal Munhwahaengsa

To celebrate the 579th anniversary of the promulgation of Hunminjeongeum, the <2025 Hangeul Day Cultural Event> will be held at King Sejong the Great's Royal Tomb on Hangeul Day, October 9, 2025 (Thursday), under the theme 'Yeoju as Dreamed by King Sejong the Great.' Special events include a musical titled <Hangeul Hero Iya - Different, But Friends!> where participants learn Hangeul fun with Hangeul heroes through themes of Hangeul, the alphabet, and etiquette, and a participatory performance <Dance Party with Pinkfong and Teacher Tteuntteun> featuring popular Pinkfong songs reorganized around Hangeul, performed on the stage in front of the statue of King Sejong the Great. Exhibition programs include the 13th National Hangeul Calligraphy Competition Award Winners' Exhibition and the 9th Beautiful Hangeul Ink and Color Exhibition. Experience programs include learning Hangeul through the body (Hangeul mini cube experience), learning Hangeul through emotions (Hangeul calligraphy experience), learning Hangeul through art (Hangeul graffiti experience), learning Hangeul through stories (storytelling experience), learning Hangeul through taste (traditional flower rice cake making experience), and learning Hangeul through scent (King Sejong's cherry tree scent experience), all held in front of the King Sejong the Great History and Culture Center. Additionally, a 'Rest Area Small Concert' featuring various cultural and artistic performances such as classical, folk music, and fusion Korean traditional music will be held throughout the grounds of King Sejong the Great's Royal Tomb.
