Located at the midpoint between Baekdusan and Hallasan, Manisan is the highest mountain on Ganghwado Island. At its summit remains Chamseongdan, an altar said to have been built by Dangun Wanggeom to perform rituals to heaven. On the slopes of Manisan lies Hamheodongcheon, where it is said that the Joseon Dynasty monk Gihwa repaired and cultivated Jeongsu Temple. Equipped with camping facilities, it allows visitors to fully absorb the energy of Manisan.
