Seonmido Lighthouse

Seonmido is the largest uninhabited island in South Korea, located near Deokjeokdo. Its lighthouse was first lit on October 1, 1934, and has served as the lighthouse island of Deokjeok-myeon for 85 years. This lighthouse features a third-class rotating large light, emitting a white flash every 12 seconds to guide safe maritime routes. Seonmido Lighthouse is a scenic spot known for its beautiful night view harmonizing with the sea. The lighthouse light serves as an important safety indicator for vessels navigating the nearby waters. Seonmido is also gaining attention as a tourist destination where the lighthouse and natural scenery blend together.
