Lab Portery

Lab Portery is a space where anyone can become familiar with clay. As its name 'Ceramics Lab' suggests, it operates various ceramic craft programs. The charm of ceramic crafts lies in the ability to create anything you want, from ordinary ceramic bowls to interior items reflecting your own ideas and tastes. To complete a single piece of pottery, you must go through six stages—forming, drying, bisque firing, decorating, glazing, and glaze firing—over 3 to 4 weeks, but the sense of accomplishment is as great as the waiting time. Lab Portery's courses are divided into one-day classes and regular classes. One-day classes are split into a 'wheel class' where you shape pottery using a potter's wheel and a 'hand-building class' using the coiling technique, with a maximum of 6 participants (up to 15 for groups). The duration is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Since instruction is provided one-on-one to ensure even beginners can easily follow, it is suitable for elementary school students, seniors, and foreigners.
